Some paintings are not born from an idea, but from a feeling.
This artwork has been with me for many years and remains one of my most cherished paintings. Whenever I look at it, I feel a deep sense of peace, openness and connection.
Its gentle shades of blue and green remind me of water – its endless depth, quiet strength and its unique ability to bring calm. Lakes and the sea have always touched my heart. They are places where I find clarity, trust and renewed energy.
This painting was created intuitively, layer by layer, without a fixed plan. I allowed the colours to find their own path. That is what I love most about abstract art: it leaves space for personal thoughts, memories and emotions.
Perhaps this painting reminds you of a special place, a quiet moment, or simply the feeling of letting go.
For me, a painting truly begins its own journey when it touches someone's heart.
With deep reverence for nature,
Christine
Some paintings emerge from stillness.
Others carry a quiet strength that can already be felt while they are taking shape.
Ember is one of those works for me.
The deep reds and glowing oranges evoke the warmth of glowing embers and the energy that arises whenever something new begins. The dark triangular form creates a quiet counterbalance – calm, powerful, and full of depth. It is this interplay that gives the painting its unique presence.
I create abstract art because colours can often express what words cannot. Every viewer discovers something different: movement, transformation, courage, or perhaps a personal memory.
To me, Ember speaks of the strength that lives within every new beginning. Not loud or overwhelming, but as a quiet inner energy that gently carries us forward, one step at a time.
Perhaps this painting will reveal something that only you can see.
When a work of art touches us in this way, its true journey has only just begun.
With gratitude for the power of creativity,
Christine
